Adventures with Aunt Shawna

Here are the final pictures from our adventures with Shawna last week. We were sad to see her leave on Monday. We all had a great time having her here. Wish we all lived closer together.

They were watching scuba divers getting ready to go under.

That's cold! Molly's first touch of the Puget Sound

Her first ferry ride!

Molly was a trooper for all the time in the car. She doesn't think her carseat is as cool anymore. She is a little concerned when we put her in it for how long the trip will be.

So we are a little slow

At least Floyd wasn't slow in the actual climbing of the stairs. Here is a link if anyone would like to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by supporting Floyd's climb.

Big Climb Seattle

Floyd just got back from the Big Climb Seattle-for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The big climb is 1311 steps in 69 flights of stairs. Floyd and Rich competed for their second year in a row-both beating their times from last year. Floyd's time for last year was 14 mins flat. This year he finished in 13 minutes 23 seconds. His ranking for today was 568 out of 1916 participants. No pictures were taken as I was not climbing 69 flights of stairs.

More pictures from this weeks adventures are still to come but Molly wants lunch.

59er Diner

We stopped at the 59er Diner which is halfway between Leavenworth and Stevens Pass for lunch on our way home yesterday. It is a cute little joint that has amazing milkshakes. While we were there, Molly began to learn to drink from a straw. It was fun to watch her try.

Aunt Shawna is here!

Floyd's sister Shawna is here for a week. She says it is to see all of us but we really know the truth.....it's to see Molly. Molly has been having a great time with her Aunt Shawna. We spent the night in Leavenworth and explored the mountain pass today. We are going to try and take another day trip tomorrow but will see how Molly feels about being in the car again. ya know, it's all about Molly. She is crawling everywhere and doesn't like to be confined in the car seat anymore.

before leaving for our adventure. this is the first time she has stood herself up at the door.

Molly and her Aunt Shawna in our condo

Dinner at the mexican restaurant. she was more interested in the tag on her highchair cover. I LOVE this cover. Goes with me everywhere.

Molly in the driver seat. We took a break at a trail head so Molly could have a bite to eat and a diaper change. And play a little while Aunt Shawna and daddy explored. And yes, she is playing with her diaper.

Look I'm driving! ok, not really-car is not even turned on.

Checking out the view while Molly has a snack.

So much beautiful scenery but it is time for a nap.

Mommy's helper

Molly wanted to help fold the laundry. Now if she would only pick up her toys and clean her room.......

My little jailbird.
Welcoming daddy home from work. She likes to greet him at the window by banging and waving and then she moves to the railing to wait for her kiss. She looks like she is in jail.

We have had crazy weather here. Yesterday morning, it snowed 3 inches in an hour. No exaggeration, the largest snowflakes I have ever seen. HUGE!!! It started to snow just before we left for church. Molly noticed it snowing when we were feeding her and she couldn't turn herself around fast enough to watch. Needless to say, breakfast was over pretty fast once she discovered the snow. It was fun to watch her. She was amazed by the white stuff that was close to the size of her head. As we went out to the car, snowflakes were landing on her face. She loved it. It was so peaceful to watch it snow during the sermon. Floyd and I both agree being at church is one of our favorite places to watch it snow. The church is surrounded by huge trees. Sadly, by the time we were leaving church it had started to rain-really hard and washed it all away. Then the winds kicked up and we lost power for 2 hours later in the afternoon. No worries, we have our power back and the wind has calmed down. Hopefully, that was the last of winter. Ok, off to finish my online tasks before Miss Molly wakes up.

See it with your own eyes!

Look at those chubby legs! Don't let it fool ya. She is super strong.

She makes it look so easy, so smooth. It is so hard to believe that she can stand herself up now. She is growing up soooooo fast. She is a cutie pie!

Crawling

pics pics and more pics

so tiny in front of a big frig
conducting?
Look I'm standing all by myself.

Molly' s new talents consist of sitting up by herself, crawling, pulling herself up to standing, and spitting food everywhere! Any suggestions on how to break her of the spitting out her food. She doesn't like chicken so she sprays it everywhere when we try hiding it in other food. Can't fool her! I know, I know, don't feed her chicken. Chicken isn't the only thing she spits out. When she decides she has had enough of something, she will start spraying. Fun times! Oh! Two teeth have now come thru. I think that covers it all. The weather is getting nicer so we have resumed our walks a little more regularly. Floyd can't wait til she pulls her own weight. That stroller is rough uphill.
