4 weeks old today!

I can't believe it but Molly is 4 weeks old today. Time is flying by so fast! Floyd goes back to work on Monday. We are spoiled by him being home for so long. Molly is going to have a really hard time not having daddy at her side all the time. It should make for an interesting week next week! Wish me luck!

Molly is starting to be awake more during the day(and sleeping 6-7 hours at night). It is fun to watch her discover things. We can tell she is starting to focus and see more. She looks at us now when we are talking to her. Also, is starting to smile. And no mom, it isn't gas. Poor little girl has baby acne/reaction to our detergent. It is taking some time to clear up. On top of that she is losing her red hair! I am really bummed about that. I always thought babies lost their hair on the back of their head first. Not our Molly. She has a receding hair line. Balding in front and long in back. Kinda funny to look at but she still is adorable. Here are a few pictures from the last few weeks. How do you like her stylish cloth diaper in the top photo? We really think that using cloth diapers will really help when she is potty training. She hates to be wet/poopy in the cloth. We don't have to worry that she will be sitting in poop. She doesn't hesitate to let us know as soon as she is.
Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Molly's new house

No we didn't move again. While visiting Molly, Floyd's parents helped us get some of our projects caught up. We have an entirely new house-don't get me wrong there is still plenty to do but the house finally feels like it is coming together. Floyd and his dad built a deck off of the upstairs living room (we still need to order the railing materials) and installed a nice slider. They then moved on to finish installing the siding on the front of the house and installing our new front doors. Which by the way, Floyd did a wonderful job staining and finishing! There was also a major clean up of the back yard and basement/garage areas. While the boys were busy doing those projects, his mom was sewing up a storm. She made us beautiful window treatments for the kitchen/dining room area. Molly is a lucky lucky girl too. His mom made her a new boppy cover, a cover wrap for her to wear, a cover up for me when I am feeding her, and a changing pad cover. Plus many delicious meals and of course desserts!
Sadly they flew home yesterday but not before my parents came out on Tuesday so they could see each other again. My dad got to join in with the boys working on the doors and clean up. And Mimi (Floyd's mom) and grandma ( my mom) spoiled Molly.

Time Flies!

Molly had her 2 week check up on Thursday. Yup, our little girl is already 2 weeks old! I can't believe it! She is doing great and is perfect (not just according to us but also her dr says so). Molly weighs 9lbs 1oz and growing strong. She has started to sleep for 5 hour stretches a couple of nights this week. I must say we were very excited about that. Thursday was a big day for her besides having her checkup. Floyd gave Molly her first bottle. She took to it with no problem. We refer to the bottle as the "A" cup. It is by Adiri Natural Nurser and resembles a breast- a small one at that. Highly recommend this bottle. She also had her first tummy time on the floor. She has a strong neck and control is getting better. She can hold her head up pretty well already. It is so cute the faces she makes when she does. Molly has also found her thumb. Sometimes it is hard to get it away from her to feed her.

Happy Birthday Molly!

Molly is 1 week old today. This is how she spent some of her day.....napping with daddy and napping while we ate. I actually managed to eat with everyone else today while she slept thru the meals. This is the first day that has happened since we have come home. She is changing so much everyday. She is a little piglet too! Molly is having no problem gaining back the weight she lost. Her double chin now goes from ear to ear. SO CUTE! I call her squeekers since she makes squeeking sounds while she is eating. again, soooo cute! ok, I should go to bed now since she has just fallen asleep and it is almost 10pm. I will post more pics of what Floyd and his dad have been up to the last few days. It is amazing that Molly can sleep thru it all. Construction noises don't phase her at all. That's my girl.

Introducing Molly Elizabeth

Molly joined us Thursday morning at 6:41 am weighing 8 lbs 13oz. Seeing as I can grow a big baby but am small myself, we ended up having a c-section after 22 hours of of labor. Hypnobirthing is a wonderful thing! It was a long night and we were very grateful to meet Molly. We should be able to go home Saturday afternoon. I will post more pics once we get home but here is a sneak peek of our miracle.

Come and Gone...

Well, that was what I was going to put when I posted this evening after our 40 week appt. And it is still true the due date has come and gone and no new little Flendy. But I happily or not so happily woke up to contractions 6 mins apart this morning. They have been holding at 6 mins for the last 3 hours now. Hopefully, they will progress soon. Floyd is coming home at lunch to hang out with me.....and maybe just maybe make that trip to the hospital. I'll post again if things stop and we don't go but if not, the next post will really be pictures of our little one!! I can't wait!. Keep fingers crossed and prayers coming.
