house and baby update

Ok, 2 posts in one day. We reached 32 weeks on Wednesday and I am measuring 34 cm. For pictures, see the post below. I can tell this little one is getting bigger with every roll over. He/she still loves to put his/her little head in my ribs. I can't wait for him/her to turn around and assume position. We finished our birthing classes but not really convince that is the route we wanted to take. We are reading/learning about hypnobirthing-basically relax and just let your body and baby do the work. The birthing class was great to explain the different stages of labor but not much on coping with them except by drugs. That isn't our first choice of options so we are learning other breathing and relaxation techniques that should hopefully help. The birthing classes do a great job of putting fear or anxiety into a person for how long the labor can take and what can go wrong. I understand that we need to be aware of all the possibilities but it shouldn't be the major focus. Just our thoughts on that.

Our bathroom will be done on Monday when the guys come to install the shower surround and vanity top. I am soo excited (and so is Floyd) to be done with it. We started to clean out the soon to be nursery and get things somewhat organized into the spare bedroom. So visiting guests, don't expect a ton of room in the guest bedroom until we figure it all out.
We finally ordered the crib and dresser yesterday. It will be here about when baby comes home. So if you are visiting in July, expect to help set up the nursery! So much for having it all done and organized before the baby is born! That just isn't our style I guess. Procrastination is wonderful isn't it? Some things never change.

I think that about covers it all. Not much else is new.-that should be enough that is new. Hope everyone is doing great and enjoying spring. It is struggling to get here but is slowly winning the battle.

Baby Shower at Church

Last weekend I had my first baby shower. My dad surprised my mom with a ticket to fly out for the shower. The ladies at my church are sooo very generous! We received many wonderful gifts. I must admit it was overwhelming! Here are the fine ladies that threw the wonderful shower Karen, Teri, Julie, and Kate (from left to right)

Denise made 2 beautiful cakes: one edible and one disposable.

Each table had a themed centerpiece. I had to go around the room and open the centerpieces. There was a bath time table, reading table, eating table, etc. It is a cute way to decorate the tables. I have a million more pictures thanks to Kate and my mom but I think this covers it.
