Still snowing.....

Ok so it has only been 3.5 hours since I last posted and now we have a couple of inches of wet snow. There doesn't appear to be an end in sight either. I guess I will be waking up on my birthday to snow. Somehow I don't think that is my birthday wish.

Our tub has never been so white. Yes we have a tub and toilet in front of our house.

What's wrong with this picture?

Yes that is snow! And yes it was taken today. It has hailed on and off all day and now it is sticking! I had a bit of difficulty getting up our hill when I came home from the store. I just hope my flowers I planted 2 weeks ago when it was 70! survive the snow. Spring really needs to get here soon.

All else is good. We had our baby check up yesterday and our little one is right on track for size. Our dr. asked what we would do if my water broke that night. My first thought was PANIC! and then call her of course. She asked if we were ready to bring the baby home. I almost laughed. It was a reality check that this little one could decide to come anytime. I think he/she is content at the moment to stay put and we are just fine with that.

Hope everyone has sunshine and no snow!

Happy Birthday MOM!

Today is my mom's 70th birthday! I can't wait until she comes out in 2 weeks so we can celebrate her birthday.
Mom, I hope you have a beautiful day full of sunshine!
Love you!

Head in a Hole!

He looks like an ostrich with his head in a hole. The bathroom is coming along. Unfortunately, I had to reschedule the shower surround guy since we aren't quite ready for him tomorrow. Hopefully by the end of the week he can come out to measure. Floyd was a stubborn boy on Saturday and moved the 400lb cast iron tub upstairs all by himself. Many friends have offered to help but he didn't call any of them. What can I say, I married a stubborn man. (we had debate last week which one of us is more stubborn-he says I am but I don't know after this weekend)

All things considered, very minimal damage done to anything. And more importantly -no injuries!

third trimester here we come!

We will be 29 weeks this Wednesday! Crazy how time is flying by. The first 3 months dragged forever and now I blink and a month is gone. We have a doctor appointment on Thursday for just the regular check up. That's about all for now on baby news.

Our New Bathroom!

Here is our new bathroom:
Isn't it pretty? Ok, so this is the temporary bath downstairs while Floyd is working on the master bath. I must say, it is a nice shower but can be a bit chilly/drafty in the morning. Floyd is making nice progress on the master. He has all the plumbing done and we should have the new tub installed (no surround) by Tuesday. The tub surround man is coming out on Tuesday to take final measurements to make the surround. It will be the same thing -different color- that we put in at the last house. It is a cultured marble/faux granite look, easy to clean and no grout work like tiling!!!
I think we decided on nursery furniture but not putting a link to pics until we officially order it. I might be changing the bedding I picked for the nursery to these cute bugs I found. Don't worry frogs can still be in the room. I do still like the frogs. This bedding is more colorful than pale green. Again, I am waiting to post a link or a pic until I have ordered it since I tend to change my mind a lot!
It is time again for Floyd to take another belly pic since we hit the 3rd trimester this week. Hopefully, I will remember tonight for him to take it and will post it soon. I had a chat with the baby the other night, and he/she listens well, maybe too well. This little one will be super active one day and not much movement for 2-3 days after that so I told the kid to pace his/herself and be active every day and stop freaking mom out. So this one is paying me back with feet in the ribs and up all night. On the bright side, the little one listened. I feel good overall. Felt like a stuffed sausage the other morning trying to put on a pair of freshly washed jeans. That is always a good feeling first thing in the morning! I have been lucky and only gained weight in the belly and chest until now. A few pounds (but nothing more!) to the hips will be ok. I suppose. Floyd keeps telling me that I'm not fat, I'm pregnant.
I am getting to the point where I am ready for the remodeling to be done, school quarter to be done (yes I am only on my 2nd week in), and this baby to come out. I am sure time will fly by in the next few weeks. Well, I should stop procrastinating and write my paper for class on the seattle building code. Sounds fun doesn't it! I know you're jealous I get to read part of the code and write a paper on it.
Hope everyone is doing well. Spring should be here soon, right?
