We had a wonderful long weekend. On Saturday, we took a lazy morning and went to the Edmonds Farmers Market. We took our time and walked around downtown Edmonds and ran some errands like going to the postoffice and getting coffee for the walk before going thru the market. I got lots of fresh veggies for the week and some beautiful dahlias. We went to a birthday party on Sunday for our friend Jessica. On Monday, we had Kate and Rich and our friend Tonja over for a BBQ. Thankfully, it didn't rain. Tonja, who dabbles in photography, brought her camera and had fun with Molly taking pictures. I'll try to post some when I get them.
Today, Molly and I had a great morning. We played on the floor for awhile and she was all smiles. I asked her if she was "my molly" and she got all excited. It is fun to watch her start responding to her name. We ran a few errands and picked up lunch to have on the waterfront. It was a beautiful day and Molly was asleep in the car so I thought I could sneak a quiet break in for me down at the ferry landing. Of course, Molly woke up and wanted lunch at the beach too. It was a very nice and relaxing morning. Have to say the afternoon-not so much relaxing. Molly fights taking an afternoon nap. She is tired but will only fall asleep for 20 mins at a time. I am hoping she out grows this soon.

What a little cutie! Don't worry, the afternoon nap will give in time (although while you are fighting through this stage, frustrating none the less). The sleep experts claim that night time sleep develops first, then the AM nap, and lastly the PM nap. Just try to stay consistent with a little nap time routine and if the nap clearly is too short, put her down again in a little bit and do several short ones until she is ready for one long PM nap. Once you hit the 2 hr AM and 2 hr PM stage ENJOY IT WHILE IT LASTS! :)
Oh, my gosh, she is adorable. I am so happy for you both!!!
