Yes this is still the same blog but I changed the background. I was getting tired of it being so dark. I am ready for Spring!

I DID IT!

ok, for all of you who have been asking. I finally registered! We are registered at Babies R Us http://www.toysrus.com/registry/index.jsp and I have a wishlist at Ergo baby. http://www.ergobabycarriers.com/babycarriers/category/wishlist/
They have the baby carrier that I would like. I picked out the black with camel but also liked black/green.

As for progress on the remodel, I am a mean wife and insisted that Floyd take a break last weekend and go snowboarding. He has been so dedicated about working on the bathrooms/laundry room that he hadn't been in weeks and the season will be over in another month. So here we are a week later and he has officially stalled out on working on the bathrooms. But that is ok. We are both realizing that we have 3 months until baby joins us!! So I think motivation should be picking up again shortly. I couldn't blame him for wanting to go snowboarding again today-it is a gorgeous day with rain coming tomorrow for Easter.

I finished my classes for the quarter yesterday. Thankfully that is over! I don't go back until the 31st so I have a week to play. Unfortunately, when I say play, it means start cleaning out and organizing the office so we can move it to the spare bedroom plus a long list of other items that I have pushed off doing. ohh, I think baby wants to say 'hi" to everyone. The little one is getting more active. It is fun to watch my tummy move when the little one kicks and moves around. The first time I saw it I almost started laughing in the middle of class.
Well, it is time to go work on more laundry and get the house cleaned up for Easter. Kate, Rich, Shelly, Roger, and Eric (Shelly's brother) are coming over for an Easter dinner tomorrow after church.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter!

Week 24

Here we are at week 24! Hard to believe how fast time is flying by. We start our baby classes tomorrow for the next 6 weeks. All is going great so far! Also attached is my new laundry room-upstairs!! No more carrying the laundry up and down! Just in time. Floyd has started working on installing the new tub/shower downstairs. The bathroom will remain unfinished for awhile but will be functional so we can have a shower while we remodel our master bath. So hopefully in the next month I will be able to post those pics.

No privacy!

So most people when they find out they are having a baby think of decorating the nursery. We are not most people. Our first thought was-let's add a 1/2 bath and laundry upstairs and remodel our master bath before baby is born. Don't worry, I am just the supervisor these days. Floyd has been working hard and has almost completed the 1/2 bath-just needs a door (who needs privacy?), a light fixture, and trim-so it pretty much is done compared to everything else.

So onto the laundry room...For that we are stealing room from the main floor bath(soon to be master bath). Right now we have no privacy in the bathroom for showering or other needs. It is wide open exposed to the rest of the hallway. My lucky sister stayed with us while she was in town for a conference this weekend. At least this time we had water, electricity, and heat. The next picture is looking from our bedroom into the bathroom. The second picture is looking from the hallway into the bathroom/laundry room. Today, Floyd is installing the electrical into the laundry room and the plumbing is all done. So leaves drywalling and painting and I should have laundry upstairs within a week. I'll get into the next phase later.....

baby bump

so many have asked for a picture so here it is....officially at 20 weeks and counting.

So we did finally cheat and take a peek into the envelope-no we still haven't opened the envelope but we did read what it said inside. Unfortunately this little one didn't want to tell us. The tech wrote down a % and a guess but nothing for sure so we aren't sharing the % or the guess since we really don't know. This little one already has a mind of his/her own. We might just be in trouble! We have our next appointment next week. I can't believe we are half way there!

And the sex is......

Yeah, I'm still waiting to find that out too. The sex is written in an envelope until we can make up our minds if we want to know. Can someone please convince Floyd we want to know! I know I can't keep it a secret from him so I am respecting his wishes of not finding out. It may kill me. We had our 18 week ultrasound today. Here is our little one who was quite active during the ultrasound. In fact, Flendy gave us a clear thumbs up. Baby is doing great and is right on target for a July 1 EDD. It was a great relief to see our little one.

What a cute little nose! Ok, I know, its just a nose but I can't wait to see it in person!

For those who are wondering, Flendy is a nickname that Floyd and I picked up on our mission trip to Lake Chelan a few years back. The name is very fitting for our little one since he/she is truely a combination of us.

Let it Snow!

We woke up to snow this morning. I know, nothing special about snow-except we only get it a couple times a year. We decided to play hookie from school/work and go play in the snow. Here are pictures from our neighborhood. We have 2 elementary schools close by and they are connected with a nice wooded trail. It was a beautiful walk that wore me out! I needed a nap when we got home. Of course I included a picture of our christmas tree that made it out of the house after christmas but never off the porch. I think we are developing a tradition of leaving our christmas trees outside all winter to get snowed on. Also included is a picture of Floyd and all his hair. I can't wait until snowboarding season ends in April so he can trim his beard. He likes to grow it out so it protects his face when snowboarding.
