ok ok, it has been a long time again!

We have been busy and one of these days I will post some pictures. Currently, we are replacing our old windows. Floyd put in 3 last night and should finish the last 3 for upstairs this weekend-weather permiting. I am finally painting the island in the kitchen. We should be building a deck soon-if we can agree to disagree about getting a permit. We shall see who will win that one.

We went home to Michigan for a visit in May. My mom has officially finished her radiation treatments and has been given a clean bill of health-cancer free!!! Our goddaughter turned 1! I am going to Winnipeg for a friend's wedding in July. And off to Alaska for our mission trip. Floyd and I are going with 7 other folks from church to Craig, AK for a week. We will be working on a basketball camp and devotions.

This weekend, I am walking in Race for a Cure. pray for nice weather. ok off to lunch but that is a quick update from our end. I would love to hear from everyone!

It's been awhile...

Hey all!
I haven't forgotten about updating the blog. Just been lazy. And Floyd deleted everything off our computer and it still isn't fully restored yet. OOPPPS! He gets sidetracked. Currently, it is by the big stump in the backyard. He is determined to get it out by himself. The stump is probably at least 2.5 feet in diamter with a ton of huge roots to dig up. It has been keeping him busy for a few weeks. We are in the planning stages for new windows, deck, and garage door. I'll keep ya posted. One of these days I will add more pictures. Hope everyone is enjoying spring!

Well there are the highlights from our weekend in the Olympics. The last picture was taken from our balcony. Floyd enjoyed watching the boat pull the logs.

It has been a long time since I lasted posted anything. I have been promising that I would update pictures soon. Floyd is installing our new lights as I type. We purchased a 3 bulb hanging mini chandelier for the entryway, a 2 bulb semi-flush for the kitchen table, and 2 pendants for over the island. We also bought the handles for the cabinets but I think I am going to return them. Go figure, me change my mind! Besides that the kitchen is pretty well done, with a few exceptions of course.

We took a nice weekend a few weeks ago and went to Discovery Bay. It is half way between Port Townsend and Sequim. Floyd finally took me to Hurricane Ridge for a hike. The snowbanks were taller than me! I will put some of those pictures up. It was wonderful to get away.

We decided not to get a dog right now. We both thought the other one really wanted the dog. I think I might be a one dog woman. At least for now, Hobo still has my heart and I'm not ready to share it yet.

Floyd's parents are coming out for a visit in a few weeks. Not sure if Floyd has told them yet but they are helping us install new windows and maybe a front door. Don't worry it won't be all work, we have some fun planned too!
Well, the dishes are calling my name. I wish they could load themselves into the dishwasher. Wow I sound lazy!

It's snowing, again

Hey All,

It is snowing again. I didn't think it was supposed to snow in Seattle. We are taking a lazy day watching the snowfall. I have been sick all week and have finally given it to Floyd. I was really wondering if he was ever going to get it. My mom taught me to share everything, ya know. Our last kitchen cabinet has arrived and the flooring for the dining room has been installed. Now we just have a few more things to finish up and it will all be done. OK, I know I keep saying "just a few more things" but really less than 2 days worth of work and it will be done. Realistically, it will be done by summer maybe spring if we're ambitious.

We might be getting a new member of the family. His name is Justice and he is a 5 year old red chow mix. A guy came out today to check out the yard and us to make sure we would be a good home for Justice. We past inspection-we were worried with the condition of our house! Just waiting to get the final word if we will be getting him or not and when we get to meet Justice. I found him on petfinder.com I love that website. I had to include a picture of my favorite new cabinet. That is the greatest thing for us short people. I put all my most frequently used dishes in there. No more reaching with a stack of heavy plates over my head. LOVE IT! Floyd is getting sick of me telling him this so I thought I would share. If you ever remodel a kitchen and you are short, you need to include a counter to ceiling cabinet! An absolute must! Plus someday when the kids arrive they can reach the dishes to set the table! I'm already putting them to work and they aren't even born yet!
